What to pack in your suitcase/carry on
Nothing perishable
Nothing expensive
Lightweight clothing that can be folded or rolled to maximize space.
Clothing options that can we worn twice like jeans.
One or two pairs of shoes that can be worn day or night and go from casual to formal.
Extra luggage or carry on lock so you don’t have to pay a lock fee at a resort or hotel
Hair Tools -optional depending on the travel locations you might not need a blow dryer
Waterproof, reusable and washable travel bag for your dirty clothes or beach clothes
If you going to a wedding or special event during your trip a lint roller is useful
Travel size sewing kit for any unfortunate moments that could come up
Check the weather and pack an umbrella or rain coat
*And always leave space for travel purchases!
What to bring on the plane
Pen/ Mini Note Pad- When you fly internationally you don’t want to use someone else’s pen to fill out forms and handle germs obviously.
Extra light weight outfit or at least a t-shirt to change into in case you need a fresh outfit before landing.
Deodorant, dry shampoo and makeup bag in case you need a quick touch up before landing.
Sunglasses or Sleep Eye Mask- so you can sleep in privacy.
Hand Sanitizer - Use hand sanitizer before drinking and eating on the plane.
Anti-Bacterial Wipes- Wipe down the seat, tray table, belt, buttons, tv screen, arm rest, anything in your general area that you consider high touch zones.
Two Ziplock Bags - After wiping down your seat or area throw your now dirty wipe in the ziplock bag because the flight attendant’s are busy before take off.
Anti Bacterial Spray - Instant relief during this crisis with germs.
Earbuds- Because no one likes their ears to pop or babies crying.
Makeup Remover wipes or Microfiber cloth because your makeup wont last a 12 hr flight.
Face Mask,Eye Cream or Facial Mist- This will help depuff your face after your flight.
Moisturizer- Light weight formula so don’t feel so naked after removing your makeup prior. Planes do get dry because its recycled air your breathing.
Reusable Water Bottle- No matter where you are traveling to its never a bad idea to have this just in case.
Snacks- For so many reasons brings snacks!
Gum- Stay fresh when are in close proximity of people and it also helps with ear popping during take off and landing when the air pressure changes.
Scarf-To cover your mouth, passing by people(sick people), sleep comfortably or just for fashion moment.
Book- I love carrying a comedy or an educational book for the plane ride because I’d rather laugh out loud then start crying or make people uncomfortable with a romance or murder mystery book.
Extra Cell Phone Charger- Your cell phone will die at some point from check in to take off (lets just be honest).
Extra Cell Phone Cord- Cords to laptop, tablet, bluetooth speaker, camera, and phone. *Don’t buy an over priced cord on vacation!
Flexible Handbag- Kate Spade or Coach - My go to handbags are trendy but functional for traveling. Anything outside of this price range you better be flying private because no one wants TSA handling your handbags and I don’t want anyone touching my other expensive bags that I have left at home.
Passport Friendly Wallet - Kate Spade is my go to but there are so many companies that focus on these features now.
Flexible Carry On Luggage / Bag- Vera Bradley because its machine washable and it fits under a seat or in the overhead area.
Extra Pair of socks- This is great if your wearing heels or flats and you need to walk through security.
Comfortable lightweight Jacket- Track jacket or Athleisure will do just fine. Find something casual that can also be dressed up and still be comfortable.
Reusable Bags- Continue to carry your face mask and gloves with you while traveling.
Tissues- In case you have allergies, get emotional or are sick please have these with you.
Extra Hair Tie- It’s the worst to leave with straight hair and by the time the plane lands you need to pull up your hair.
