My First Sustainable and Eco Friendly Christmas!

  • Cheer’s to my very first sustainable and eco friendly Christmas! I did it! I gave my family and friends everything I could find from glass ornaments to unbleached toilet paper! I know what your thinking and don’t worry, my nephew already said it, “were they on the naughty list?” LOL!!! No naughty list here buddy! I just wanted to find timeless pieces that I could wrap in non toxic paper this time.

  • I never imagined the impact shopping this way would have on me. These gifts have inspired others and I was able to support small local businesses that have been effected by the lockdown. Small businesses that are sustainable and eco friendly don’t often get the love or attention they need over the holiday season but not this year! I went all out, I wanted my family and friends to try everything I have. That way they could start taking small steps towards a cleaner lifestyle too.

  • Enjoy these LMSTL eco gift ideas and have a Happy New Years!

Glass Ornaments- These incredible glass ornaments are handmade by a local mother and daughter duo Jae & Che! I was fortunate enough to find an assortment of their products at this new eco friendly store called Here After!

Lisa’s Ideal Health - Drop one of these mini bath bombs into your tub for some spa quality pampering. I chose lavender and cold/ flu bath bombs to meet everyone’s needs this holiday season.

Lisa’s Ideal Health- It’s not a eco friendly Christmas until you get some artisan hand soap! This hand soap is gentle yet effective and made with high quality ingredients! Lisa’s hand soaps can be used in either a foam or regular soap dispenser. They also carry bars of soap similar to the ones pictured and come in a variety of scents.

  • Pro Tip-When refilling your current soap dispenser just dilute the soap for it to foam.

Lisa’s Ideal Health -With the quality ingredients that Lisa uses in her lip balms, you will be calling me after Christmas to send you more! I have purchased more lip balm at Lisa’s Ideal Health then at any other business in 2020!

Coffee Body Scrub- You can use this body scrub all over! I recommend applying the body scrub on wet skin, preferably in the shower. It should be applied to your body and feet and in a circular motion going upward towards your heart. For more information and the recipe click the link.

Cookie Cutter’s- Cookie cutters are affordable, sustainable and there are so many options. I figured it would be nice to add a few more to my sisters collection since none of us could be together this year. I suggest adding a cookie cutter to your next eco gift! I didn’t link a company here but just make sure to read the label and research what material is used to make the cookie cutter.

Cork Mat- Eco friendly cork is a natural material that can replace plastic around your home. Cork can withstand heat, moisture and does not contain any flame retardants. I use cork products in my kitchen to set down hot pots or pans. This picture shows just how versatile cork can be with something relatable like setting down your coffee.

  • I gave a set of these to my younger sister for Christmas because before the pandemic she always threw parties and probably could use a few more heat resistant mats.

Lisa’s Ideal Health- What does this picture say to you? For me it says, stay calm, cool and collected because I found eco friendly Poo- Poorri! Here are my favorite scents Lisa’s Ideal Health offers: Unicorn Toots, Blue Sky and Citrus! These sell out pretty fast so stock up when you can and take them with you on your next trip.

Eco Gift Wrapping- The Eco Wrapping Paper, Paper Tape, Thick Ribbon, Thin Lace Ribbon, Paper Bags, Christmas Stamps and wood ornaments were all surprisingly at Michaels! I love all the traditional holiday decorations, but this Christmas season I found sustainable and eco friendly options that looked very grand! I would say the best place to invest your time and money would be in finding some nice 100% Cotton Ribbon (preferable organic) because it really elevates your gifts!

*Try these eco swaps and make your 2021 Christmas a little bit more sustainable! You got this, LMSTL!
